Optional Activity 5 Play “I can skate.”
Objective: to consolidate the new structure
says that this is a game and at the same time a competition.
Therefore, the pupils must show and say as many commands as
they can. For example, a pupil can go to the blackboard and say
what he/she can do: i can ski. i can run. i can play snowballs, etc.
The main condition of the competition is to say the commands
without much pause. if the pupil feels difficulty remembering a
command, he/she has to leave the game. each participant counts
the number of their skills which will serve as points. The one who
has the highest points will be the winner.
Homework:
explain to the pupils that at home they should complete and
colour the pictures on the right hand page. Ask them to remem-
ber the sentences about what they can do like “i can ski”, etc.
