Object of the research – Teaching foreign language encompasses many different skill areas including decoding, fluency and comprehension. Good learning objectives address each area individually. Also, appropriate objectives should be measurable in some way, meaning one should be able to observe the behavior in a student. Furthermore, an objective should be specific to the grade/skill level of the student.


Subject of the research – Decoding is a vital step in the reading process. Kids use this skill to sound out words they’ve heard before but haven’t seen written out. The ability to do that is the foundation for other teaching foreign language skills.


Aim of the research – To read fluently, kids need to instantly recognize words, including words they can’t sound out. Fluency speeds up the rate at which they can read and understand text. It’s also important when kids encounter irregular words, like of and the, which can’t be sounded out.


Tasks of the research – With teaching foreign language activities, it often doesn’t matter what vocabulary and grammar students use and whether it’s accurate nor not. The learning outcome is for students to gain confidence in teaching foreign language English. However, you often need to give students time to prepare and think about what they’re going to say before they read.
Methods of the research – Imagine a teaching foreign language activity that gets students to read about a memorable experience in their childhood. The aim might be freer oral practice of simple past, past continuous and past perfect. If students do this activity at the beginning of the lesson and they are using all three tenses easily and correctly, it tells the teacher there’s little benefit in presenting the grammar again and she can move on to something new.
Practical value of the research – Teaching foreign language is part of productive skill. Because, some ideas can be produced with speed up. Teaching foreign language is perhaps the most fundemental of human skills, and because we do it constantly, we do not often stop to examine the processes involved. Bailey states yet having a simple conversation is anything but a simple process-particularly if someone is speaking a new language.
