The expansion of private businesses, driven by small businesses, has 
contributed to increasing the country’s GVA, but as the employment size in 
enterprises diminishes, the speed of productivity growth has decelerated in 
Uzbekistan. Given the growth of small businesses with no serious influence 
from the external environment during the three periods, most small business 
would be domestically focused with limited operating areas. The shrinking
