The main priority direction of the development of the EUII remains the unification of the financial and economic resources of the member states, the strengthening of mutual integration relations within the Union, the effective use of the common potential in the trade-economic, transport, energy and communication sectors.

According to the decision of the Supreme Economic Council of the Republic of Uzbekistan, within the framework of the "Main directions of the development of the Eurasian Economic Union until 2030", the formation of a unified transport area, common energy and electricity markets and a coordinated agro-industrial policy was established until 2025.

After the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council on December 11, 2020, a unanimous decision was made to grant observer status to the Republic of Uzbekistan in the organization. In addition to Uzbekistan, Moldova (2018) and Cuba (2020) have the same status.

In addition to the above, it should be noted that the Eurasian Economic Union also cooperates with third countries by signing Free Trade Area (FTA) agreements on establishing trade and economic cooperation.

To date, FTAs ​​have been signed with Vietnam (2016), Singapore (2018), Iran (2018), Serbia (2019), and negotiations on a trade and economic cooperation agreement with China (2017) have been completed.

Currently, YeoII is conducting negotiations with India, Egypt, Thailand, Mongolia and other countries on the conclusion of the FTA agreement.
