S tu d y   Tip  When  you  are  practising  this type of writing,  say your
answer aloud  to  help  you  decide whether your language  is too  repetitive. 
Do your sentences sound  very similar?  Think  about the sentence 
structures you  have  used,  as well  as the vocabulary.
The coherence  (how easy your writing is to  understand)  and  cohesion 
(how the  ideas in your answer are connected  together)  of your answer 
are also assessed  in  Writing Task  1.  You  need  to  take the time  to organise 
your ideas into paragraphs.  You  can practise this in  Units 3, 4 and 6.
