Recommendations 

A look at the history of children’s magazine development and publication in the United 

States provides perspective of past publications and ideas for their future. One certainty is the 

need for additional research to illuminate this neglected field of study. In particular, the years of 

1995 to 2010—the early period of the Digital Revolution —are overlooked and would benefit
