  1. Did the teachers teach the principles or were you required to read books and find out about them yourself?




  1. Were you required to make presentations? During class periods or at other times?


  1. How many hours of preparation were needed to do well in the main subjects?


  1. How many hours did you have to spend on the lessons after the lectures( homework, personal study, etc.)?




  1. If the class were in lecture format only, to what extent were the students allowed to participate and in which form ? Was discussion encouraged?




  1. did the profs provide a reading list before or at the start of the term? If not, when?


  1. Were most of the books on this reading list readily available in the local university or public libraries? Did they seem relevant to your studies?


  1. Were students responsible to prepare readings on their own time and discuss them in class, or were the chapters and/or handouts completely covered during class time?




  1. Did the profs provide a syllabus or a schedule of the themes or the chapters they were going to teach at the beginning of the semester? If yes, when was this provided?


  1. What was the process of writing a paper? Did the profs provide you with a list of themes and/or resources to choose from, or was each student responsible for providing ideas?




  1. How much interaction with the profs occurred during the writing of a paper?


  1. When students made presentations were topics and books provided, or were they expected to find their own materials?


  1. Was critical thinking and analytical processing either taught or encouraged in your programs and classes? Was individual thinking encouraged or were students encouraged to accept without questioning the opinions of their professors?




  1. Were rules for exams, passing classes, writing the thesis, etc., clearly defined, understood and observed by all members of the faculty and students?




  1. Were your given a basic idea of what types of questions would be asked on exams? In what format were the exams?


  1. How or were the students encouraged to continue their education? Or prepare for future?
