One way to buy less when you shop is to make a list of the things you need. if you plan carefully and only buy what's on the list, you'll spend less money. Another way to deal with supermarket strategies that make you buy more is to shop when you aren't hungry. Studies show that hungry shoppers buy more food than they need, so only go shopping after a meal. Shoppers can also save money by shopping for groceries online. If you shop at home, supermarket strategies, such as the layout of the store or free samples, won't influence your buying decision.
