Ethics in International Business
Ethical system refers to a set of moral values that are used to guide and shape behavior. Culture, legal, political and economical systems affect ethics. What is considered a normal practice in one nation may be unethical in another. The most common ethical issues for international business are employment practices, human rights, environmental regulations, corruption and the moral obligation of multinational co-operations.
Employment practices differ from country to country due to the differences in working conditions.
Human rights that are guaranteed by democratic societies, such as freedom of speech and association, may be unacceptable in other countries.
