Activity 2 Look, read and complete the sentences. 

Objectives:

 to introduce new words: garden, stone, Japan; to enable pupils to talk about gardens. 

STEP 1

: Ask the pupils to look at the pictures and say what they see there. Accept all answers. Then ask the pupils to 

look at the box with the new words. 

Say: We live in Uzbekistan. This boy lives in Japan. Ask whether they know what Japan is. Then point to the garden 

and  stones  and  ask  to  repeat  after  you.  Ask  the  pupils  to  repeat  the  words  after  you  in  chorus,  in  pairs  and 

individually. 

STEP 2: 

Ask the pupils to read the text individually and complete the sentences.
