The first time the public got to see an ice show was in 

1936. Three men named Eddie Shipstad, Roy Shipstad, 

and  Oscar  Johnson  came  up  with  the  idea.  They 

combined  figure  skaters  with  theater.  They  used 

colorful  lights,  fancy  costumes,  and  exciting  music. 

Their  creation  was  called  Ice  Follies.  It  debuted  on

,  1936  and  quickly  became  a  success. 

Later,  other  companies  began  to  do  ice  shows  too. 

Now,  there  are  many  types  of  ice  shows,  like  kids 

shows  and  musicals.  Today,  ice  shows  are  popular
