Robin Hood is a fictional character who steals money 

from rich people and gives it to poor people. During 

the Great Depression in the United States, some banks 

closed and did not give people their money. A lot of 

people were mad, and some turned to crime like John 

Dillinger.  He  and  his  gang  stole  over  300,000  dollars 

from  different  banks.  People  considered  him  a 

modern-day  Robin  Hood.  They  felt  the  banks  stole 

money  from  them,  so  they  were  happy  to  see  an 

ordinary person steal from banks. Eventually, Dillinger 

was caught and killed. He was a hero to some people, 

but a villain to banks and police.
