competition  should  be  avoided  because  it  can  be  stressful  and  overwhelm  them.  Play 

games where everyone wins, or where you do not single out a winner. Scott (1990) adds 

that children also learn in social context, in groups where some group members more that 

others. Next game is called “Bingo" that improves students motivating. In this game Ask 

students to draw a 6 x 6 grid on their whiteboards or pieces of paper then select 6 words 

or images from the given list to draw/write in their grid. You must then randomly select 

a word from the list to describe, and students must guess the word in order to cross it off 

on  their  grid.  Continue  describing  different  words  until  one  student  successfully 

completes their grid and shouts.  

Methodology 

The present research is aimed to experimental research that aimed to investigate 

the role of playing games during lessons. The experiment was carried with 16 students of 

fifth grade at school. Actually, there were 16 students, during the experiment we divided 

into two groups. One of them took part in pre-, and another one took part post. Firstly, 

with one group of students we learned new theme without games. Then, with one group 

of students we learned new lessons through games. Comparing these results of students 

according to their homeworks we can see that teaching with games were effectiveness 

than simple lessons.  

Results 

Before making an experiment we divided class into two parts. Results has shown 

that when the lesson is taught with different kind of games or activities, all of students try 

to attend to the lesson and listening to voice of partners and begins speaking. In some 

way,  the  students’  thinking  ability  has  developed  and  appear  interest  to  know  new 

vocabulary.  

Conclusion 

Games  and  activities  play  important  role  in  our  lessons.  It  is  effective  way  in 

teaching  process  and  can  help  improving  the  interest  of  students.  Taking  into  account 

experiments of further researchers, using same methods did not affect in teaching foreign 

language.  In  fact,  playing  games  increases  motivation  by  helping  students  relax, 

open up, and get out of their heads while learning. At the results can see successfully 

used to improve both learning and teaching.
