- Applicants must have doctoral degree or equivalent professional qualification (at least 15 years work experience at the time of application)
- Applicants should demonstrate the intrinsic value of the project to the scholar, his/her home institution, country and U.S. institution.

Fulbright English Teaching Assistants (ETAs)
American TESOL professionals on 10-month fellowships at educational institutions
Projects include teaching, teacher training, and materials development
Highly experienced American TESOL professionals who conduct short-term programs (2 weeks to 5 months) Projects include teacher training workshops, national conferences, and curriculum development
English Language Specialist (ELSs)
Program places instructors in classrooms on 10-month assignments to assist local English teachers.
ETAs help teach English language while serving as cultural ambassadors for the United States.
