In an effort to promote growth in the commercial business district in the Town of Vance, the Town has assembled an incentive package for new Commercial and Industrial development.

Water-Citizens Water Service has just completed a 2,000,000 gallons per day water supply expansion in the area. Financial assistance for water line extensions will be examined on a case by case basis.
Sewer-The Town of Vance has invested 5.5 million dollars in a new Waste Water Treatment Facility and new sewer lines. For a limited time, the Town may waive impact fees and connection fees for new commercial development on a case by case basis.
Advalorem Taxes-The Town of Vance has no Advalorem taxes in place at this time.
Sales Tax – The town of Vance has a 2% sales tax. The State of Alabama has a 4% sales tax and Tuscaloosa County has 3% sales tax, Total 9%. In some cases the sales tax can be waived during the construction of the development. This would be considered as law would allow.
Grants-The Town of Vance Industrial Development Board will assist in the pursuit of all appropriate grants from the Federal and State Governments on behalf on the interested developers.
