Relation of the dissertation research with the research plans of the higher 
educational institution where the dissertation has been prepared.
The subject of 
the dissertation was carried out in accordance with the scientific-research work plan of 
the Tashkent State University of law within the framework of the priority directions of 
scientific research “Guarantees of freedom of activity of business entities and issues 
of further strengthening of the legal protection system” and “Legal issues of corporate 
governance in entrepreneurial activity”. 
The aim of the research 
is to develop proposals and recommendations to 
improve the civil-legal status of investment funds in Uzbekistan. 
Research tasks:
to cover of the history and essence of investment funds; 
to analyse of types of investment funds and their correct classification;

to determine the position of investment funds in the system of financial services 
market entities; 
to study of legal issues related to the organization and management of 
investment funds; 
to study of legal issues related to the liquidation and reorganization of 
investment funds; 
to analyse of civil liability of investment funds; 
to determine of the ratio of public-legal and private-legal regulation of 
investment funds; 
to study of legal aspects of licensing and control over the activities of 
investment funds; 
to develop proposals and recommendations for improving the legislation on 
investment funds. 
The object of the research 
is a system of civil law relations to determine the 
legal status of investment funds. 
The subject of the research
consists of normative legal acts aimed 
determining the civil-legal status of investment funds, law enforcement practice, 
legislation of foreign countries, as well as conceptual approaches, scientific-
theoretical views and legal categories existing in legal science.
