INTRODUCTION (abstract of PhD thesis) 
The aim of research is to substantiate the possibility of obtaining effective 
products of wall ceramics with required strength and performance properties based on 
local low-grade loess loams and zeolite-containing rock using agricultural waste in 
the form of chopped cotton stalks as a burnable additive. 
The tasks of research are: 
- the study of physical-chemical processes of ceramic mass formation from clay 
materials and zeolite-containing rocks of Uzbekistan using chopped cotton stalks; 
- establishing the pattern of change in the properties of ceramic mass, depending 
on the content of components; 
- determination of the effect of zeolite-containing rocks and chopped cotton 
stalks on the kinetics of structure formation of ceramic shard; 
- establishing physical-chemical interactions and transformations occurring in 
the system under the effect of zeolite-containing rock and ash of cotton stalks during 
sintering of ceramic mass; 
- the study of structure formation of the composite under heat treatment of raw 
materials of ceramic mass; 
- the study of patterns of change in the properties of ceramic products after firing 
depending on the content of mass components; 
- conducting comparative studies of molding properties of ceramic mass; 
development of mathematical models: 
- calculation of structural strength of clay raw material, compressive strength 
and average density of ceramic bricks; 
- calculation of the input part of heat balance in the optimization of ceramic 
products firing in a tunnel kiln; 
- calculation of the output part of heat balance in the optimization of ceramic 
products firing in a tunnel kiln; 
- optimization of the content of ceramic mass components ―loess loams — 
zeolite-containing rock — chopped cotton stalks‖.
