Topic : The role of foreign investment in the development of economy

A huge role in attracting foreign investment to the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan played a decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On additional measures to stimulate the attraction of direct foreign investments" dated 11.04.2005.

• According to this document, the enterprise sectors, attracting direct private foreign investments are exempted from the payment of income tax, property tax, tax on the improvement and development of social infrastructure, the single tax for small businesses, as well as mandatory contributions to the Republican Road Fund for the period of:
• If the volume of direct foreign investment is 300 thousand dollars to $ 3 million - for a period of 3 years;
• From U.S. $ 3 million to U.S. $ 10 million - for a period of 5 years;
• More than U.S. $ 10 million - for a period of 7 years.
