Conclusion.
This review aimed to investigate how oral presentation skills can be developed based on the selected materials. Findings from them were analysed, synthesized, compared and presented in four sections. According to findings, oral presentation skills are one of the communication skills, which will be required in the world of jobs. The qualities of academic oral performance was also identified by citing articles. Acquiring oral presentation skills is essential in academic life and job market as it is the requirement of the employers. Different types of problems were investigated in presenting them such as speech anxiety, topic understanding problem, language transfer, and fear in public speaking. To deal with these problems, different strategies were suggested including teaching learners presentation assessment criteria, micro and macro level skills, helping them to overcome the fear by explaining the structure and how to behave during presentation. As most problems with presentations come from misunderstanding, lack of knowledge on the topic and lack of practice, teachers play an important role in shaping general knowledge of learners about oral presentations.
However, the researches that discuss oral presentations are limited in several ways. First, there is no clear picture about academic oral presentations since most of the definitions are incomplete. Next, there is little practical research to promote strategies to overcome the challenges.
