The proposal should include a short bibliography identifying the most relevant works for your topic.
Defining the project:
Keep these in mind when defining the research project through the proposal:
Make sure you benefit those who are participating in the research. (They have the right to know what you are doing and share your findings. Your research should empower you with new understandings and also empower those who are participating with you.)
Choose your methodology wisely. Will it be qualitative (i.e., based on interviews and questionnaires) or quantitative (i.e. based on statistics and numbers)? Sometimes a combined methodology can make the most sense. (e.g. You can combine a qualitative preliminary study with a quantitative main study.)
Decide on where you will conduct the research carefully. This is a major decision. (Conducting a research project away from home can actually be more productive because it can give a better control of the variables.)
If you conduct research in conjunction with another agency or project: Make sure the trade-offs (balance) are in your favor! In many cases, it is best to enjoy the power and the freedom to make your own decisions. (and not altering your project to accommodate someone else),

Revisions and Proofreading

As in any other piece of academic writing, it’s essential to redraft, edit and proofread your research proposal before you submit it. If you have the opportunity, ask a supervisor or colleague for feedback.

   Find the part in the Introduction where the author tells about the aim of the study/the significance of the research topic/ the gap in the research/ mentions relevant works/research and background information to demonstrate the writer’s knowledge of the field/ what new insights will your research contribute?

   What research methods were integrated in the research? What was the research type?

   What tenses were used in the section “Research design and methods”?
   
5. 
   Find where the author mentions where research overlap and where one idea contradicts another idea/where the author shares his personal opinion concerning the research conducted in the field/draws conclusion or shares interpretation?

   Were the source materials cited? How were in-text citations included in the text? How were citations of cited works included in? Which citation style was used?
