Capture the sights and scenes of Ellicott City buildings, streetscapes and people.

Entry Rules:

• 
  Contest open only to amateur photographers. Work will not be accepted from professional photographers. Professional photographers are defined as those who receive monetary compensation for their photographic work on a regular basis.
  
• 
  All photos must have been taken in the Ellicott City Historic District; map available at: file:///C:/Users/Owner/Downloads/ECMap%20(5).pdf
  
• 
  Photographs are to be 8”x10” and are acceptable in color or in black and white prints. Photos may submitted be on any paper surface and should be matted. No more than four (4) photos per entrant. Provide the following information on the back of each photo submitted: Photo Title, Entrant Name, Phone and E-mail Address and Category. Computer enhanced or altered images will not be accepted. Cropping is allowed. Additionally, all entries must include a cd with photos in jpeg format.

  Photos must be submitted by 5pm on May 22, 2016.
  
• 
  Please note: The CSX Railroad tracks are private property – No Trespassing is allowed.
  

Cash Prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd & 3rd place winners in three (3) categories: Junior -17 years of age and under; Adult -18 years and older; the 2016 Special Category “Nature in the Historic District”.

First Place Winner of the “Special Category” receives free custom framing of submitted photo from Mat About You Gallery – 3751 Hamilton Street in the Historic District.

Winners will be announced on Friday June 3, 2016. An exhibit featuring contest entries will be on display at the Howard County Welcome Center through June 26, 2016.
