The report of 5th April 2022
Today, with our group of 21.96, we visited various attractions in Namangan city which is situated about 75 kilometres far from Fergana city. And firstly we went to the Axsikent which is extremely ancient part of Namangan. Therefore, I will give some information about this place. According to some sources that were got from guide, Umarshaikh Mirza, the father of Zahiriddin Mukhammd Bobur ruled this city in history time. But this city was built in the third century BC and at that time this city called Fergana. Furthermore, the name of this city has historically come in three forms: axsikent, axsi and axsikat. In 127 and 126 BC, an ambassador from China named Zhang Xiang came to Axsikent and he wrote information in his book about this city.Unfortunately, after the Arab conquest of Central Asia, they burned all the manuscripts in the Axsi, as at that time the population worshiped different religions, such as thunder, fire and so on. Thus, most history teachers learn about this city via the Chineʼs books. The population at that time accounted for two hundred thousand.
Another interesting fact is that people brought 15 kilometres of drinking water through the Kosonsoy River by ceramic pipes. Moreover, they also smelted steel at 1,600 and 1,700 degrees Celsius in the Temirchilar place and made world-famous swords. Sellers sold this knives, swords in bazar of Damashq. However, in 1621 a very strong earthquake shook the city and you can see only little trails of Axsi city.
Our next road was Afsona Land. The former Mashrab Park has been replaced by a large, beautiful theme park with a unique name Valley of Legends. In the garden area, the largest 3-storey artisan center, a mosque with a capacity of 15000 people, a shopping center, modern hotels and villas. The complex is also decorated with new waterfalls, musical fountains, canals and lakes surrounded by ornamental trees and benches.
Ultimately, our last road was wonderful and modern library in Namangan. I and all the members of the group liked this library equally since it has the kind of books you are looking for, for instance, there are a separate section for children and another separate section for teenagers. As well as all kinds of books on world, uzbek, sciences, politics can be found in there.
To put in a nutshell, our journey was very amazing and unforgettable. Also we learnt a lot of new information for ourselves.
