within the framework of regional projects. The fodder assessment and recommendations of feed
rates are based on analyses of a wide range of nutrition factors and aimed to increase the fodder
efficiency.
Data on the biological, chemical and nutritional characteristics of some salt-resistant fodder crops
and halophytes that are grown on soil irrigated with artesian water and that can potentially be used
as animal feed are given below (Table 5.4.2).
