The present simple tense

Because it was raining, I took a taxi. = I took a taxi because it was raining.

Because of the rain, I took a taxi.

Yuqoridagi because va because of qoidalaridan kelib chiqib bog’lovchilarni quyidagicha berishimiz mumkin:

Because=as=since=for= because of /owing to/due to the fact that it was raining, I took a taxi.
Because of = due to = owing to his feeling bad, he left the party early.
He walked quickly because he was in a hurry.

He didn’t come because of his refuse.

Hakim couldn’t play football because of/owing to / due to his broken leg.

♦ because of/on account of/ due to the fact that + subject +verb

He asked for a few days off because of/on account of the fact that he was exhausted.

He asked for a few days off due to the fact that he was exhausted.

♦ The reason for+ noun/v1ing

♦ The reason why+ subject verb

e.g. The reason for his leaving job was (the fact)that he had been offered a better job.

The fact that he had been offered a better job was the reason for his leaving job.

The reason why he left the job was (the fact) that he had been offered a better job.

♦ now (that) + clause

e.g. Now (that) they have children, they have less free time.

for = because (in formal written style)
