The Centre of Foreign Languages at the Polytechnic University of Tirana is pleased to invite you to the First International conference on the topic of

THE MANY LANGUAGES OF EUROPE, A WEALTH TO PRESERVE

The conference it will take place in Tirana, November 9^th 2012

The conference will include a general and thematic sessions. The first session is dedicated to didactics, and the speakers will focus in the new methods that are used in teaching and acquiring foreign languages.

The second session will deal with languages for specific purposes and its difficulties as well as looking into studies that are necessary in the teaching of languages.

The third session is dedicated to plurilinguism which is very important in our days thanks to the values it carries in a time of globalism.

We welcome contributions on the following themes:

I SESSION - GENERAL SESSION

II SESSION – LANGUAGE FOR SPECIFIC PURPOSE

  Specialized communication in teaching

  Problems in translating techno – scientific texts

  Linguistic borrowings and the terminology
  

III SESSION – PLURILINGUISM

• 
  Contemporary society manners and behavior in a plurilinguistic environment
  
• 
  The role of the plurilinguism in the trade labor
  
• 
  The importance of plurilinguism in the developing countries – examples, practices
  

The conference languages are English and Albanian

The time allocated for each contribution is 20 minutes (including 5 minutes for discussion).

This conference should lead to a publication of the contributions approved by the scientific committee.
