Technologies always change the languages. When printing came in 1400s, it changed the language, not only one language but most of the languages in the world. New styles were developed, new spelling, new punctuation and so on. When the telephone came in 19^th century, it changed the language: new versions of dialogues came in to be. When broadcasting came in 1920s, it changed the languages. Think only about styles of broadcasting media that we have had before. For example: sports commentaries, weather forecasting, chat shows and so on. When internet came in to be , it also changed the language, but nobody, I think, ever expected the language to be so diversified. Nobody was able to predict how many technological variations were going to be of these electrolical communication. I mean, just think, there are world wide web, emails, chatting, virtual worlds: there are dragons and warriors game that people play, blogging, massaging, social networking: youtube, facebook, twitter, mobile texting and it goes on and on. When you have opportunity to communication, you will produce a new kind of language. In the case of English, and tour style is English. Communication in blogging is not the same as instant massaging. But all of these media are new styles of English. You will see new grammar because of it. For example new grammar rules, new endings. And also new vocabulary and punctuation. People are using punctuations in exaggerated forms. But on the whole I can say that nowadays there is the same English that used to be. Except now there are styles of language. The language has become expressively richer as a result of internet.
