Обучая чтению необходимо учитывать форму чтения (про себя, 
индивидуальное, хоровое, громкое), способ раскрытия содержания чтения 
(аналитическое, 
синтетическое, 
переводное, 
беспереводное),характер 
организационной 
деятельности 
(подготовленное, 
неподготовленное, 
тренировочное, контрольное). Каждой из этих форм необходим отдельный
методический подход.
Умение читать предполагает владение всеми видами чтения, переход от 
одного вида к другому в зависимости от изменения цели получения 
информации. Для работы с материалом на иностранном языке требуются 
умения и навыки всех видов чтения, они взаимосвязаны между собой и 
логически вытекают друг из друга. Неверным является доминирование одного 
вида чтения над другим как и изолированное развитие соответствующих

умений. Понимание обучения чтению как деятельности, которая направлена на 
понимание языкового материала и содержания текста, реализует главный 
принцип сознательности. Степень полноты понимания зависит от наличия 
мыслительной активности, уровня речевого общения и поставленной задачи. 
Следует отметить, что в отечественной и зарубежной литературе нет явных 
разногласий в том, какими видами чтения необходимо овладеть в процессе 
изучения иностранного языка.[7] 
Таким образом, работая над текстом, и выполняя большое количество
различных заданий, можно сделать вывод, что чтение текстов на иностранном 
языке помогают расширению лексического запаса, умению понимать значения 
незнакомых слов из контекста, закреплению различных разделов грамматики, 
совершенствованию речевых навыков. Чтение также носит и воспитательный 
характер: повышает культуру человека, призывая его обдумывать различные 
проблемами и мотивы нашей жизни.
