The graph highlights data about the amount of the museum visitors, over a half decade between 2000 and 2005.
Overall, it is clear that there were considerable upward trends in the quantity of visitors of both MET, New York and National, China, while
Edo-Tokyo showed a sharp fall over the period in time. Another interesting point is that Edo-Tokyo was the most popular in 2000, but in 2005, National, China leapfrogged all of its competitors.
Looking at the details, as regards National, China museum`s visitors were at the lowest amount in 2000, while two others had much more visitors. It never stopped afterwards finishing at the highest number with just under 16 million people in 2005, except a two-period of leveling off between 2003 and 2004. If we look at MET, New York, the trend was rather similar. It started at just 12 and having remained stable for the next two years, it then went up slightly and plunged to around 14.
On the other hand, the third museum went in the opposite directions.
Having remained stable for a year, Edo-Tokyo museum then fell dramatically until 2003. After that, despite falling sharply to 6, it then increased but could not surpass its opponents.
