The goal of this document is to cover testing of the task dictate app

While you’re recording please write down what you did as you go. If you encounter a bug this will allow the devs to retrace your steps and see if we can reproduce it. Doing it this way will also make it easier on you if TASKDictate crashes while recording.

Please make a note if you received a phone call, got notifications/texts, listened to a podcast/music in another app. Plugged/unplugged headphones. Paired a blutooth device. - if it’s recording from the bluetooth device or from the phone/tablet mic.

Some apps – like paltalk on andriod – will take over the mic and place you “in a call” just with a notification that a room you follow has just opened.

TASKDictate may still record if it’s not the app on the screen on some phones however others if it’s not the app on the screen it may be suspended by the OS. It’s recommended that while you’re recording keep the TASKDictate app in the foreground (on the screen.)
