The fourth unit analysis of Kids` English 2

This unit is intended for the fourth grade pupils who are studying at primary school. The theme of the unit is My hobby. There are four lessons, a revision and a progress check. In this unit all skills are covered, such as pronunciation, listening, writing, reading and speaking but vocabulary and grammar skills are omitted because at the back of the book there is a useful list of grammar points and vocabulary. This unit is full of interesting and fun activities and exercises which will help to learn and practice English, take for instance answering the questions, matching, chain drill, listening and singing activities as well as the games which was named I collect…, What`s your Job, Let`s play…...

In the unit the structural language description is used because the modern professions and traditions are given and texts is about hobbies.

In the unit the following interaction patterns are used:

The fourth unit is aimed to teach pronunciation of the letters Ww, Xx, Yy, Zz, furthermore the unit makes students improve their speaking skill about the main difference in content is that in Uzbek there are no such letters as “C”
and “W” but the Uzbek alphabet has such letters as O‘, G‘, Sh,
Ch and Ng which the English alphabet does not have by discussing, reading skill can be developed with the help of the texts and reading tasks. However there are at least two listening tasks to improve pupils` listening skill by singing songs such as ABC and also writing tasks are also given to practice writing.

In the unit social, memory, cognitive and compensation learning strategies might be used because the exercises/tasks should require ask questioning, grouping, analyzing and guessing meanings to do.
