THE ADJECTIVE 

 

There are one syllable adjectives, two syllable adjectives more syllable adjectives and irregular 

adjectives;

I. 

Translate the adjectives. 

 

Cheap - expensive, high - low, messy - pretty, thin - thick, empty - full, rich - poor, useful - 

harmful, sharp - dull, kind - unkind, strong - weak, wise - stupid, easy - difficult, light - heavy,  

new - old, big - small, many - few, far - near, right - wrong, literate – illiterate, well-known – 

unknown,  soft – hard.  

 

II. 

Match  pairs of adjectives, adverbs and verbs (un, im, in, ir, dis).

irresponsible, disappoint, unhappy, indirect, careless, illiterate.

IN THE AIR
