1.2 Aims
The present study aims at finding out the effect of project- work teaching technique on the Institute of Fine Arts' EFL Students' Reading and Writing Performance.
1.3 Hypotheses
The following two null hypotheses are put forward:
1. Project has no effect on EFL students' reading performance. 2. Project work has no effect on EFL students' writing
performance

1.4 Limits
The present study is limited to:
1. The population is e students at the Fine Arts Institute.
2. The Academic year is (2011/2012).

1.5 Value
This study will be of value to:
1. EFL teachers at the Fine Arts Institute to be acquainted
with this teaching technique, i.e. the project-work
2. EFL students, To hopefully develop their reading and writing achievement.
1.6 Procedures
The below procedures are adopted:
1. A sample of two groups from the Fine Arts Institute will randomly be chosen and set as experimental and control groups, then equalized in certain factors.
2. The experimental group will be taught reading and writing according to project work technique.
3. The control group will be taught reading and writing according to the conventional technique.
4. The two groups will be exposed to a post-test to find out any significance difference in their performance in reading and writing.
5. Data will be treated statistically by using suitable tools.
6. Conclusions, recommendations and suggestions for further studies will be put forward.
