3.5.3 The Post-Test
To assess the degree of success of the experiment, the instrument comprises a written test. A test is constructed to measure the students' performance in reading and writing. The post-test is simply an unseen reading passage with four paragraphs entitled "Islamic Art", the test consists of three questions based on the passage. The first question is a multiple-choice type with 5 items, the students should choose the correct option among alternatives, one scores for each correct item. And zero for the incorrect choice. The second question is a True/False one with 5 items and the students should decided whether the statements are true or false based on the passage and also five scores for the question one score each. In the third question, the student is required to write a paragraph about "Islamic Art'' by answering five questions about the passage, ten scores are allocated for them, two scores per question (See Appendix 2).
The scoring is done as below:
1- 0 for totally incorrect answer
2- l for partly correct answer (mistakes in spelling and
grammar)
3- 2 for totally correct answer
