TITLE
TEACHING ENGLISH FOR SCHOOL CHILDREN THROUGH COMPUTER TECHNOLOGIES.
ABSTRACT
The use of computer and Internet technology in the educational system is one of the most effective ways to improve the process of learning foreign languages. The computer-information education model is a kind of transitional phase from a system of traditional foreign language teaching methods to a modern open education Information Society system. This article discusses different approaches and techniques, which can assist English language students to improve their learning skills by using technology.
INTRODUCTION
Language is a very complex and teachers have obligation to teach the complexity of the language becomes simpler and easier to be understood, especially for teaching English for young learners. Information and Communication Technology (ITC) can be applied in teaching and learning language. Most children enjoy internet, television, radio, youtube, or another mobile learning, particularly for learning English. ICT can play a crucial role in development of language or second language, in regarding to young people. Using ICT, the classroom will be more flexible and communicative. We can find many ways to attract students’ motivation to learn English with technology involving internet, song, youtube, and other media.
Language development among the learners will be different, depended on age, cognitive, social, and motivation. For starters, learners take an active role in the
learning process, which can help them retain more information. Following that, follow-up sessions include extra information so that learners can become more self-sufficient. Finally, learners' language learning skills can improve as they consume new learner-based educational materials.
METHODS
It is important that in the lessons English language learners felt the beauty of a foreign language. This may be achieved by the use of different active forms and methods of work. In every lesson teacher should use computer technologies,for example while explaining something he/she may use ppt or different kinds of videos which help them to understand quickly.Furthermore school children really love and interesed in technologies and it will be helpful for effective learning.
RESULTS
In order to define the most effective way for learners,two experiments were organized. The first one is without any technology only by oral way.The second one is with ppt and videos. As a result in the first lesson learners understand with some difficulties and it was somehow boring lesson.However in the second lesson children understand fully with details because of computer technologies.
DISCUSSION
The utilization of computer and information education methods significantly improves the level of information competence students, in particular, developing skills such as the use of Internet capabilities to find the necessary educational information, use of reference electronic publications, application information resources in training activities, the use of communicative potential of information and computer technology for advice, the necessary information.
CONCLUSION
Finally, foreign language teachers have been experimenting with new and imaginative approaches to engage pupils. Only by learning how to use technology effectively and creatively in the language classroom teachers can help students learn more while simultaneously demonstrating to employers that we can use technology effectively and creatively
