  1. What is a troubleshooting guide?

Troubleshooting is a form of problem solving, often applied to repair failed products or processes on a machine or a system. It is a logical, systematic search for the source of a problem in order to solve it, and make the product or process operational again. Troubleshooting is needed to identify the symptoms. Determining the most likely cause is a process of elimination—eliminating potential causes of a problem. Finally, troubleshooting requires confirmation that the solution restores the product or process to its working state.

  1. What does to escalate mean in IT solution?

It’s almost lunch time and the phones are lighting up in the IT department. The email system is down, and everyone from the President to the Receptionist is calling to say there’s a problem. Of course, thanks to your monitoring system, IT had already noticed that something was wrong, but the calls are providing immediate feedback regarding how widespread the problem is. Because email is a mission-critical system at your company, if the Tier 1 engineer cannot quickly fix the problem, your Information Technology escalation process will kick in.

  1. What does RSI stand for? How does it affect the health?

The relative strength index (RSI) is a technical indicator used in the analysis of financial markets. It is intended to chart the current and historical strength or weakness of a stock or market based on the closing prices of a recent trading period. The indicator should not be confused with relative strength.

The RSI is classified as a momentum oscillator, measuring the velocity and magnitude of directional price movements. Momentum is the rate of the rise or fall in price. The RSI computes momentum as the ratio of higher closes to lower closes: stocks which have had more or stronger positive changes have a higher RSI than stocks which have had more or stronger negative changes.

  1. What does CV Stand for? What question does it include?

CV is an abbreviation for Curriculum Vitae. If a job advertisement asks for a CV, that’s a hint that the employer expects a great deal of life experience and accomplishments, including education, original research, presentations you’ve given and papers or books you’ve had published. It’s common in academic positions but is also suited to other jobs and programs. For most jobs a résumé is adequate. In countries other than the U.S., the term CV is interchangeable with résumé. Think of a CV as a biography, often taking up to eight pages depending on your experiences and accomplishments. It is standard for academic positions in higher education such as college and university teaching positions. Research-intensive positions may also expect applicants to submit a CV. It’s not just for jobs, however; if you are applying for an internship and have a great deal of experience and accomplishments, showcase them in a CV. This is also true for fellowship and grant applications.
