Scratch Tasks (Week 9)

Task 1 – Simple Movement

1. 
   Create a New Script and Drag the from Control to the scripts area.
   

2. 
   Click the Motion button (to the left of the Control button) and drag the across and lock it under the earlier command.
   

3. 
   Click the green flag near the top right of the Scratch screen to run your program.
   

Task 2 – Changing Direction
In this program we will make the sprite change direction. We will build on the program that we have already created.

1. 
   Change the movement value in your previous program from 10 to 40.
   

2. 
   Click the Control option and drag the across and lock it underneath the move command.
   

3. 
   Click the Motion button and drag the across and put it below the . Change the value in the point in direction to -90.
   

4. 
   Click the Motion button and drag the across, change the value to 40 then insert another underneath.
   

5. 
   Click the Motion button and drag the across, this time leave the value at 90.
   

6. 
   Finally, at the top of the screen where there is a small image of the sprite, click the middle button next to the image of the sprite. This makes the sprite change direction to match his movement.
   

7. 
   Click the green flag near the top right of the Scratch screen to run your program.
