Consumer protection is something that protects consumers in any country, from any kind of mistreatment. But before discussing consumer protection and its history, the very meaning of a consumer should be clear. A consumer is like an individual making the purchase of certain products or obtaining the services offered by the other party for personal reasons, either directly or indirectly, rather than using the products for sale, purpose of doing or doing. Different laws are drawn up in each country for the protection and protection of consumers in that particular country. These laws are created in such a way that businesses can be stopped from participating in any activity that promotes unfair competition, fraud, unfair practices, and the like (Nottage 2013). The interests of consumers in the country are protected by consumer protection; and for this purpose, these laws promote a healthy competition in the market, which directly and indirectly, works in the favor of consumers (Cseres, 2005).
