PREFACE

This course book “English in Computer Science” is for students of High Education studying in the specialty “Information technologies and communication”. The purpose of this course book is to teach students language tools, effective communication with a computer, as well as reading and understanding original literature in the specialty. The course book consists of texts, lexical and grammar, reading, listening exercises, vocabulary as well as specialized texts for additional reading. Structure of this course book provides an integrated construction of each lesson, aimed at working with different language aspects, as well as the development of reading, speaking and writing skills. The exercises contained in the course book focus on active proficiency in special vocabulary, intensive mastering of complex grammatical phenomena characteristic of scientific and technical literature, and the development of professionally directed oral communication skills. The manual uses modern authentic texts on specialty “Information technologies and communication”.
