Risk associated with liability to others (i.e. civil liability).

• This type of risk is associated with the possibility that someone will present you with a claim of a financial nature as a result of the damage they have suffered as a result of your actions. For example, your careless driving caused a car accident, and now you must compensate for the damage caused to the health and property of the victims.
