Chemical and electrochemical processing of the carbon fiber received by two-phasic thermostabilization and carbonization of polyacrylenitrile fiber, for the purpose of modification of its surface for adhesion strengthening with an epoxy matrix is carried out. Chemical oxidation by overacetic and overbenzene acids led to considerable change of morphology of carbon fiber and had no positive impact on mechanical properties of microplastics. Electrochemical processing of carbon fibers causes the difficult physical and chemical processes leading in particular to etching of a surface and formation of longitudinal channels and stitchings between fibers. Various options of electrochemical processing of carbon fiber on a basis the SIR in water solutions the ammonium salts (NH4)HCO3 / (NH4)2C2O4 allowed to reveal optimum conditions and to increase value of strength at a rupture of microplastics on the average by 12% in comparison with the initial raw fiber. Drawing on a surface of carbon fibers of polymeric layers opens an alternative way of modification of their superficial properties to combinations with electrochemical processing of fiber or directly as an independent method of drawing such layers at electrochemical influence.
