Forest biodiversity in national strategies and action plans

• National Biodiversity Strategies and Action Plans (NBSAPs) are important national tools for the conservation and sustainable use of forest biodiversity, but forests are also addressed in a number of other strategies and action plans, such as Poverty Reduction Strategy Papers (PRSPs). PRSPs, NBSAPs, National Forestry Programmes, and other strategies and plans, must converge towards a holistic approach to natural resource management at a landscape level.
