ORDER

In this case, Ms. Geeta Bery, vide RTI application dated 20.09.2016, addressed to the PIO, sought following information:-

(1) Copy of power of attorney of S. Gurbaksh Singh Salariya duly

EMBOSSED on 20.01.2006 vide FCR No. 714.


(2) Copy of special power of attorney in favour of S. Bajit Singh S/o S. Partap Singh of Amritsar, got registered by S. Harcharan Singh Ranota of Chandigarh in the office of Sub-Registrar, Chandigarh on 11.08.2006 vide Serial No. 1845, Book No. 4, Volume No. 285, Page No. 1420.
(3) Action taken report on her complaint by NRI Police Cell of Punjab Police.

On receiving no information, she filed First Appeal with the First Appellate Authority on 01.11.2016 and then approached the Commission in the second appeal on 17.01.2017. Accordingly, a Notice of Hearing was sent to the parties for 03.04.2017.

from AIG Police/Admn.-cum-PIO, NRI and Women Wing, Phase-7, S.A.S. Nagar vide which it

was informed that the application with UID No. 20152431 of the appellant was under investigation with Police Station NRI, District Amritsar due to which sought information could not be supplied to the appellant. Shri Prabhjit Singh, Head Constable, appearing on behalf of the respondents, submitted that the sought information related to the year 1948-1949 and the office of Municipal Corporation Amritsar was being shifted to another building due to which the relevant record was not forthcoming. He sought some more time to enable them to supply the requisite information to the appellant, which was granted with the directions that more concerted efforts be made to ensure that the requisite information was supplied to the appellant before the next date of hearing. The case was adjourned for today.

3. Today, the representative of the respondent informs that SHO has sent his Inquiry Report and further action is to be taken by AIG. Thus, final Action Taken Report has not been received as yet. Thus AIG is directed to take further action on the report of the SHO and send a report to the complainant, with a copy to the Commission, before the next date of hearing.

ORDER

This case was last heard on 27.08.2014 by former SIC, Shri Chander Parkash, when Shri Tirath Ram, XEN and Shri Ravinder Singla, SDO informed that the matter was under process as a survey was being conducted. Today, Shri Sanjeev Kumar, Superintendent-cum-PIO, LG-3 Branch, appearing on behalf of the respondents, informs that in this case erring officials have been chargesheeted and Inquiry Officer has been appointed. The appellant submits a letter dated 12.06.2017 to the Commission with a copy to the respondent vide which deficiencies in the provided information, have been pointed out. Accordingly, the respondent is directed to supply complete information to the appellant after removing deficiencies, pointed out by him. He is also directed to submit a complete report narrating action taken, in chronological order, since the receipt of RTI application.

3. To come up on 10.07.2017 at 11.30 A.M. for further proceedings.

ORDER

The case was last heard on 03.05.2017, when Smt. Jaswant Kaur, PIO-cum-Superintendent had brought complete information for handing over to the appellant, who was not present without any intimation. She submitted a copy of the information to the Commission, which was taken on record. Accordingly, she was directed to send the information to the appellant by registered post and the appellant was directed to send his observations, if any, on the provided information to the PIO, with a copy to the Commission and he was also advised to inspect the record in the office of the PIO on a mutually agreed date and time to identify any other specific document still required by him, if he so desired. The case was adjourned for today.

2. Today, the appellant informs that the provided information is still incomplete. Consequently, after hearing both the parties and with their consent, the appellant is directed to inspect the record in the office of the PIO on 14.06.2017 at 11.00 A.M. to identify the documents required by him and the PIO is directed to supply the same to him on the spot, under intimation to the Commission.

3. Adjourned to 10.07.2017 at 11.30 A.M. for confirmation of compliance of orders.
