Tests on Completion means the tests which are specified in the Contract or agreed by both Parties or instructed as a Variation, and which are carried out before the Works are taken over by the Employer.

Tests after Completion means the tests (if any) which are specified in the Contract which are carried out after the Works are taken over by the Employer.

Variation is an instruction given by the Employer which varies the Works

Works are what the Contract requires the Contractor to plan, conduct engineering study, design, construct, install, operate and maintain and finally turn over to the Employer, as defined in the SCC.
