Blood Test Forms
Please can we remind patients that if they require a blood test and have been given the form for this, patients must remember to take the form with them to their subsequent phlebotomy appointment. The phlebotomists are not allowed to do the blood test without the appropriate form and have 5 minute appointment slots. This does not leave them enough time to sort out forgotten forms and may mean that the blood test will have to be re-arranged.
Travelling to Europe this Summer?
Don’t forget to get your European Health Card (EHIC) – this has not changed since the Referendum
This card is available for FREE via the link on the NHS Choices website at:
http://www.nhs.uk/pages/home.aspx
Remember you will also need travel insurance as well.
Travelling Further Afield?
Don’t forget to get your travel vaccinations – some vaccinations take time to take effect or need more than one course, so don’t leave it to the last minute, get them done in plenty of time before you leave. Not all travel treatments and vaccinations are available for free on the NHS even if you are under eighteen (for example Malaria tablets or Yellow Fever vaccinations), so remember to budget for these when planning your trip. Visit our website for more information.
