Data Access Interface
The SPS comprises two parts, the front end (FE) and back end (BE). The FE represents the signaling plane, and the BE represents the data plane. Figure 1 describes the data access interface the BE provides for the FE.

Diameter Interfaces
The SPS provides the Diameter signaling transfer, roaming border gateway, and signaling service processing functions in the Long Term Evolution (LTE), Policy and Charging Control (PCC), and IP multimedia subsystem (IMS) networks.
Figure 1 shows the Diameter interfaces the SPS provides in the LTE, PCC, and IMS networks.

The SPS can provide Diameter-based flexible routing services as follows:
Diameter message replication: The service enables the SPS to make a copy of messages that meet specified criteria and send the copy to a dedicated service platform through the standard Diameter interface. The original message routing is not affected during this process.
Address resolution: The SPS routes Diameter messages to peers based on subscriber identities (including IMSI, NAI, MSISDN, IMPI, and IMPU).
Session binding: During an IP-connectivity access network (IP-CAN) session with the same subscriber, the SPS forwards the messages received over different interfaces (for example, the Gx, S9, and Rx interfaces) to the same PCRF or deliver the messages of the same session to the same destination device (for example, the PCRF or OCS).
Table 1 describes the Diameter interfaces supported by the SPS.
