UPB Boards

Figure 1 shows the location of maintenance interfaces on the universal process blade (UPB) board. Table 1 describes the specifications of maintenance interfaces on the UPB board.

UPB	COM serial port	This port is used for local commissioning.	The standard model of the COM serial port is RS232. On the UPB, the COM serial port is an integration of a baseboard management controller (BMC) serial port and a system serial port. You can switch the roles of the COM serial port by using the shelf management module (SMM). When the COM serial port is used as a BMC port, the baud rate is 115,200 bit/s. When the COM serial port is used as a system serial port, the baud rate is configurable.	1
	USB port	These ports are used to connect to the CD-ROM.	It is a standard USB 2.0 interface that is backwards compatible with USB 1.1.	2
