Introduction to the course

1.1. Presents the subject of the lesson, its aim and objectives; gives information on the main discussion points and types of activities

1.2. Asks the questions concerning the general lexical and grammatical problems of translation.

Basic


(50 minutes)

2.1. Asks the questions concerning the main theoretical points of the lecture (grammatical problems of translation: definition, types, semantics, culture-specific features of phraseological units; types of phraseological correspondences: complete, partial, absence of correspondences) (Appendix 1).

2.2. Presents the practical assignments aimed at developing skills for identification of types of phraseological correspondences (Appendix 2).

2.3. Divide the students into three groups; raise a problem question for each group (Appendix 1)

Gives instructions on the techniques of presenting the ideas about the problem questions.
