SOCIO-ECONOMIC PREREQUISITES FOR MARKET
DEVELOPMENT OF UKRAINE 
 
Abstract. The article analyzes the socio-economic imbalances that led to the 
deterioration of effective demand, budget deficit and banking crisis in Ukraine. 
Insufficient effectiveness of institutional influence on the functioning of the market is 
revealed, which is confirmed by Ukraine's weak position in the Doing Business rating. 
Market reform programs developed with the assistance of the World Bank and the IMF 
are outlined. It is shown that the incorporation of WTO rules allowed to expand the 
Ukrainian market, and joining the UN Program "Sustainable Development Goals 
2016-2030" led to its moderate growth.
