In addition, the improvement or creation of new materials, equipment, technological
processes, products, services and methods, fundamentally alters and significantly
improves the
efficiency not only of tourism, but also of the economy as a whole.
The successful development of a particular sphere of the economy largely
depends on the periodically occurring innovation processes that affect not only the
field of science and technology and technology, but are also closely related to
economic and social transformations.
Innovation in tourism is the development, the creation of new tourist routes,
projects, etc., the introduction of which will increase the employment of the
population and ensure the growth of its incomes [1].
Innovations in tourism should be viewed as
systemic events that have a
qualitative novelty and lead to positive changes that ensure sustainable operation and
development of the industry in the region [2]. Thus, the idea of creating and
implementing tourist projects that do not even bring significant profits at the
beginning can give an impetus to the development of tourism and thereby actively
contribute to the creation of additional jobs and increased incomes of the population.
The scope of innovation is enormous, it not only covers the practical use of
scientific and technical developments and inventions, but also includes changes in the
product, processes, marketing, organization. Innovation acts
as an explicit factor of
change, as a result of activities embodied in a new or improved product,
technological processes, new services and new approaches to meeting social needs.
Thus, innovative activity in the sphere of tourism is aimed at creating a new or
changing existing product, improving transport, hotel and other services, developing
new markets, introducing advanced information and telecommunication technologies
and modern forms of organizational and managerial activity.
However, it should be noted that the introduction of innovations in tourism is
significantly influenced by the economic situation in the country, the social situation
of the population, national legislation, as well as intergovernmental and international
agreements. Therefore, the motives and reasons for the emergence of innovations in
tourism activities in each country are different. Nevertheless, several characteristic
features can be distinguished:
- growth of the population's need to get acquainted with the way of life in other
regions and acquire new knowledge;
- glut of the population by many traditional destinations;
- the aggravation of competition, the growth of proposals
for standardized global
products;
- the need to deter the departure of their citizens to zones similar to those in the
regions of their country (nature, culture, climate);
- a harmonious combination of attractive conditions for recreation and travel
(natural and cultural features, leisure opportunities, the acquisition of specific goods
and special tourist services) to fully meet the needs of the most demanding tourists;
- technological revolution and expansion of services in the economy;
- the transition from the supply economy to the demand economy.
Unique and unique are the culture and art of the peoples of our republic.

Here, each nation has preserved its long traditions, folklore, folk crafts and
ethnolinguistic appearance. The peculiarity of the Uzbek
mentality is the kindness
and cordiality of people. Attracting tourists to rest in the homes of the local
population aims to create good human relations between them, the exchange of
cultures and traditions. When such relationships are established, the hearts of people
open up and make them ready for any creative creation, which is so necessary for all
of us, in our difficult times.
Tourist routes to historical settlements that have preserved cultural heritage sites
are of great historical, cultural and scientific value and are of great interest to tourists
and holidaymakers.
Uzbekistan is a country with a lot of historical attractions and preserved in the
inviolability of picturesque rural places, with nature parks and museum-cities "in the
open air". Intensive tours and accommodation in family mini-hotels, the development
of a network of which is actively encouraged by the state, in such tourist centers as
Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva.
Thus, in the region there is a unique opportunity to create the necessary
conditions for the development of tourism as a highly profitable branch of the
economy, whose potential in the republic is greatly underutilized. The emergence of a
new product in the tourist services market will help to develop other, more advanced
projects, to enable them to finance. Innovations in tourism require large material,
financial costs. Therefore, state support is needed.
At the end of 2016, the President of Uzbekistan
Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a
decree "On measures to ensure the accelerated development of the tourism industry
of the Republic of Uzbekistan", which includes the creation and development of
tourism infrastructure, simplification of visa procedures and provides for the
establishment of the Coordinating Council for Tourism under the Cabinet of
Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The creation of the Coordination Council
will allow coordinating the activities on the development of tourism between various
ministries, departments and other business entities, as well
as to promptly consider
and solve issues related to the development of tourism in the country.
The key mechanism for state regulation and support of tourism development is
the republican and targeted municipal tourism development programs developed on
their basis. Successful implementation of the activities of regional targeted programs
in the sphere in question will allow to ensure a faster development of tourism than in
other sectors, competitiveness of the republic's tourism products in foreign markets.
Thus, innovative activity in the sphere of tourism is aimed at creating a new or
changing existing product, improving transport, hotel and other services, developing
new markets, introducing advanced information and telecommunication technologies
and modern forms of organizational and managerial activity.
