a Digital Humanities degree teaches the “hard 
skills” that are often highly desirable in the job market.
For example, many courses include modules on programming or data analysis. 
They might help you get up-to-date with new trends in information technology and 
help you get familiar with software tools. 
But on the other hand, it’s worth bearing in mind that Digital Humanities degrees 
are still relatively new. Not everyone knows exactly what they are and what skills you 
learn. Not that many employers know what to expect from graduates of this field, so 
when you apply for jobs you might need to explain what you learned. 
According to the main forms of organization of the educational process, for 
example, in a university, the following technologies are distinguished: 
 lectures;

 conducting practical classes (seminars and workshops); 
 organization of independent educational activities; 
 organizing and conducting consultations; 
 conducting exams and tests (technology for organizing the monitoring of the 
results of educational activities, etc.). 
According to the main types and forms of activity of teachers, the following

 communication between the teacher and students; 
 organization of group work; 
organization 
of 
independent

and 
cognitive

According to the dominant methods and principles of organizing training, 
learning technologies are distinguished: 
 problematic; 
 modular; 
 remote; 
 developing; 
 explanatory and illustrative; 
 programmed. 
In educational practice, the following technologies can be used to ensure 
professional and personal growth

technologies for the development of critical and diagnostic thinking; 
 technologies for the development of professionally necessary qualities of a 
future specialist; 
 technologies for the development of intelligence and creativity, etc. 
According to the “education paradigm” criterion, technologies are divided into 
groups within the following framework: 
 knowledge paradigm - technologies of translation and assimilation of 
knowledge; 
 information paradigm - new information technologies; 
 activity paradigm - technologies for organizing educational, educational, 
gaming, educational and search activities (technologies for problem-based learning, 
gaming technologies, technologies for the gradual assimilation of knowledge, etc.); 
 culturological paradigm - technologies for organizing a dialogue of different 
cultures and points of view; 
 personality-oriented paradigm - contextual learning technologies, reflective 
learning, "immersion" technologies; 
 design paradigm - technologies for designing an educational program, a 
problematic lecture, a new textbook, etc.

With a degree in Digital Humanities you can look at traditional subjects from a 
new perspective. It’s an exciting choice, but it also isn’t the right degree for everyone, 
so you’ll want to carefully consider what you’ll gain from it. Here are three good
